Accor, LADE, and SIHOT Revolutionize EV Charging for Hotel Guests
Accor, the global hotel chain, has partnered with energy transition startup LADE to revolutionize electric vehicle (EV) charging for guests. This collaboration introduces connected onsite charging cable stations, marking a significant step towards sustainable mobility in the hospitality industry.
LADE's Founder and CEO, Dennis Schulmeyer, stresses the importance of improved charging infrastructures for the advancement of e-mobility. The partnership with Accor allows LADE to integrate its innovative charging solutions into the hotel chain's properties.
SIHOT, a leading property management system (PMS) provider, has joined forces with LADE to offer connected onsite EV charging hubs for guests. SIHOT's CEO, Carsten Wernet, views this collaboration as an opportunity to enhance the guest experience by integrating new devices seamlessly into the PMS. Hotels using the Open Charge Point Protocol can easily integrate existing chargers into the system, while SIHOT PMS enables hotels to manage and control ongoing charging processes.
The integration is initially available in Germany and Italy, with interest from establishments such as Best Western Hotel Nierstein and Rhine-Main Youth Hostel Mainz. Guests can conveniently authenticate and start charging using a QR code and room number, or an RFID key card. The charging process is linked to the guest's hotel account, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free payment and billing experience, with charges automatically applied to their hotel room upon check-out.
This groundbreaking partnership between Accor, LADE, and SIHOT sets new benchmarks for convenience and sustainability in the hospitality industry. By offering connected onsite EV charging solutions, hotels can now cater to the growing number of EV drivers, providing a more attractive and eco-friendly stay for their guests.
