"Activities at the Animal Park and Wildgates Chemnitz during October"
The city of Chemnitz is offering a variety of engaging activities for both children and adults during the October school holidays. The zoo and wildlife park are hosting a series of educational and fun-filled holiday programmes, while the Wild Park is also organising an Autumn clean-up event.
On Tuesday, 7th October, and Thursday, 9th October, the Holiday Program "Open Wild Enclosure School - Discover the animal world in a playful way" and "Open Wildlife Park School - Discover the Animal World in a Playful Way" respectively, will take place at Wild Enclosure Oberrabenstein and Oberrabenstein Wildlife Park. Admission is regular for both events (Adults 4.50 Euro, reduced 3 Euro). On the same days, from 10 am to 12 pm, Chemnitz Zoo will host the Holiday Program "Open Zoo School - Fun and Games with Memory, Quiz & Puzzles" and "Join In & Observe - Animal Enrichment for the Geladas". Admission is also regular for these events (Adults 9.50 Euro, reduced 5 Euro).
For those interested in learning more about the zoo, on Friday, 10th October, from 10 am to 11:30 am, an Autumnal Zoo Tour is scheduled at Chemnitz Zoo. Participation is 10 Euro per person (admission included), and registration is required by 8th October at tierpark(at)stadt-chemnitz.de. On Wednesday, 15th October, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, another Holiday Program, "Get involved & Observe - Animal enrichment for our geladas", will take place at Chemnitz Zoo.
In addition to the holiday programmes, the Wild Park is organising an Autumn Clean-up event on Saturday, 18th October, with no specific time mentioned. Visitors are encouraged to use the car park at Burg Rabenstein for this event. The Autumn Clean-up in the Wild Park is open to all, and no registration is required.
