airBaltic Expands in Germany, Launches Düsseldorf to Vilnius Route
Latvian airline airBaltic has bolstered its presence in Germany by launching a new direct route from Düsseldorf to Vilnius. This move, welcomed by Düsseldorf Airport's CEO Lars Redeligx, demonstrates airBaltic's commitment to high-demand markets and its confidence in the German market.
The new route, the fifth destination airBaltic offers from Germany and the second from Düsseldorf, provides both business and leisure travelers a convenient way to reach the Lithuanian capital. Introductory fares are set at €69 for Economy and €245 for Business Class.
This expansion comes after major airlines like Condor, Eurowings, and Ryanair pulled back from Germany, leaving room for airBaltic to grow. The airline, which serves over 130 routes in total, already offers connections from Germany to Riga, Tallinn, and other cities. Dominik Lelle, a member of the online editorial team at AERO INTERNATIONAL, covers the world of aviation and has noted airBaltic's strategic growth in the region.
airBaltic's new Düsseldorf to Vilnius route is a testament to the airline's commitment to growing its presence in Germany. With competitive pricing and a focus on high-demand markets, airBaltic aims to continuously expand its connections to and from Germany, offering travelers more direct options to the Baltics.
