Another river cruise from Novosibirsk to Tomsk may emerge in 2025.

📢 Hear it first! The transit business, Rechflot OOO, is planning to kick off touristic cruises from Novosibirsk to Tomsk and Barnaul by 2025. Anton Bocharov, the company's executive director, shared this exciting news with RIA Tomsk.
Historically, a tourist-oriented ship named "Remix" used to sail along Tomsk's rivers, but the pandemic put a halt to that. In 2024, a new ship, the "Northern Fairytale" started its course, stopping at Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Kolpashevo, Parabel, Narym, Niжneвартовsk, Surgut, Hanty-Mansiysk, Uват, and Tobolsk.
Bocharov proposed that the first cruise aboard the "Novosibirsk" ship to Tomsk might take place as early as summer 2025, depending on the water conditions. "We're keeping an eye on the water situation – it should allow us safe passage and provide us with the right levels," he explained.
The cruises will involve two routes: Novosibirsk-Tomsk and Novosibirsk-Barnaul. The exact stopover points are still under negotiation.
Bocharov added that the "Novosibirsk" is a two-deck ship that can accommodate up to 40 passengers. Currently, the ship is undergoing an extensive makeover, with new engines installed and renovations underway. The total cost of the renovations is estimated to be more than 50 million rubles.
"This ship has been with us for some time, but it was withdrawn from our active fleet group for a while. Once we received requests to revive such river voyages, we decided to commit fully to a comprehensive makeover of the ship" Bocharov shared. 🛡️
