Aschaffenburg's 'Blue Light Mile' Showcases Emergency Services This Sunday
Aschaffenburg's emergency services are preparing for a significant event this Sunday, September 28. The 'Blue Light Mile' event, organized by the city's emergency services, will take place at Schlossplatz from 10 am to 4 pm. Visitors can expect a wealth of information and interactive activities from various services.
The event will provide insights into the work of the fire department, police, Bavarian Red Cross, Maltese, THW, and volunteers. The Maltese organization will offer a range of services, including hospice care, children's grief group support, therapy dogs, youth services, and virtual reality experiences.
Demonstrations will include traffic accident and flood simulations, as well as a mock search for missing persons. The police will display their latest vehicles, such as an electric bike, police motorcycle, patrol car, and a VW bus. The Bavarian Red Cross will provide information on German bone marrow donation, blood pressure measurement, and showcase their ambulances and mountain rescue equipment. The fire department will focus on home fire safety, air rescue, and exhibit their firefighting vehicles and command vehicle.
The volunteer fire department, police, Bavarian Red Cross, Maltese, THW, and volunteers are eagerly anticipating a large turnout. The event will also feature food and drink stalls, ensuring a enjoyable day out for all attendees.
