Baterías Madrid Unveils Spain's Fastest Portable EV Charger
Baterías Madrid has introduced a pioneering portable charger for electric vehicles in Spain, boasting a rapid charging capacity of 20 kilowatts. This innovative device, designed for roadside assistance, is compatible with both CCS and Chademo standards, offering a swift solution to charging woes.
The charger, a first of its kind in Spain with this charging speed, can add 25 kilometers to an electric vehicle's range in just 15 minutes using a single module. For those needing a longer boost, two modules can charge up to 50 kilometers in half an hour. The device's modular design allows up to four modules to be stacked simultaneously, providing a substantial 100 kilometers of charge.
Baterías Madrid, a company specialising in high-power chargers, offers comprehensive services including supply, configuration, and after-sales support for various types of electric vehicles. While specific inverter manufacturers remain unclear, the company plans to install its first charger with an inverter for a fleet-owning business, supporting the grid with solar-powered batteries.
The Spanish eMobility market, with over 50,000 competitors, now benefits from Baterías Madrid's portable charger, which reduces recharge anxiety and avoids lengthy delays in charging point processing. This innovative solution addresses unforeseen situations like traffic jams or detours, making it a valuable addition to Spain's electric vehicle infrastructure.
