Bountifield & iDE Merge to Boost Global Rural Entrepreneurship
Minneapolis-based Bountifield International and Denver-based International Development Enterprises (iDE) have joined forces as of January 1, 2022. This integration is set to amplify their impact on global entrepreneurship and economic growth worldwide.
Bountifield brings its expertise in post-harvest processing solutions to the table, while iDE offers extensive global operations. Together, they plan to expand their reach across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Both organisations are committed to empowering rural entrepreneurs, providing them with tools, resources, and training for sustainable change.
In a recent visit to Kenya, iDE CEO Elizabeth Welch and former Bountifield CEO Alexandra Spieldoch witnessed firsthand the positive impact of motorized equipment on local women entrepreneurs. This partnership is expected to support more women, entrepreneurs, and communities due to their combined strengths and global footprint.
The World Economic Forum estimates that empowering women entrepreneurs could add $12 trillion to the global GDP and boost economic output by 35% in some countries. Both organisations are dedicated to this cause, with Alexandra Spieldoch seeing this partnership as a way to increase scale and support more global entrepreneurs, continuing the legacy of Bountifield's founder, George Ewing.
The integration of Bountifield International and iDE is poised to have a significant impact on global entrepreneurship and economic growth worldwide. By combining their expertise and expanding their reach, they aim to empower more women and communities, ultimately contributing to global GDP growth.
