This move makes Cathay Pacific's eighth destination in the Southwest Pacific region, joining a lineup of year-round services to Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney, as well as seasonal routes to Cairns and Christchurch.
The airline's recent string of accolades, including a consistent Seven-Star Safety Rating from AirlineRatings, and being named Runner-Up for World's Best Business Class in the 2025, and also in the 2025 World's Best Airline Awards, adds to the anticipation of this new venture.
A Nostalgic and Fervent Return
Cathay Pacific has a strong history with Adelaide, dating back to its inaugural passenger flight to the city in 1992. The airline also formed a partnership with Flight Training Adelaide for its cadet pilot program, an alliance now lasting over three decades.
