The Setouchi Region, a captivating area in Western Japan, is set to take centre stage in an upcoming travel-related webinar hosted by JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles. This webinar, titled "Explore Setouchi | Destination for Arts and Nature", offers valuable insights into the region's remarkable arts, nature, and itinerary planning, making it an ideal resource for art lovers, nature enthusiasts, and thoughtful itinerary planners alike.

Set to take place on May 24, 2023, the webinar will be led by Rose Lifschitz from the Japan National Tourism Organization. It will delve into the Setouchi Region, a picturesque area connected by the Seto Inland Sea, and provide practical planning advice for those considering a visit.

One of the region's most renowned cultural initiatives is the Benesse Art Site Naoshima, which spans islands like Naoshima, Teshima, and Inujima. Here, contemporary art, architecture, and natural landscapes seamlessly blend, creating a unique and immersive experience. The Naoshima New Museum of Art, designed by world-famous architect Tadao Ando, stands as a central attraction, enhancing the artistic appeal of the area with innovative designs that harmonize with the environment.

The region's islands and coastal environment are not only scenically beautiful but also ecologically significant. Online content related to art and ecology on Inujima Island, which is part of the Setouchi region, is also featured to provide travelers with a deeper understanding of the area's natural heritage and sustainable practices.

The exhibition "Symbiosis: Living Island" further celebrates and transports visitors to the Inujima Island in Japan. The exhibition is on view at JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles from May 1, 2023, to July 5, 2023. Walk-ins are invited, and additional exhibition-related programs will be announced soon. The gallery for the exhibition is open daily from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. (Mon. - Fri.) and 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. (Sat. - Sun.).
