Discovery Education Launches Manufacturing Resources for Educators

Discovery Education has rolled out new resources for educators to inspire student career explorations in manufacturing, just in time for Manufacturing Day 2025. These resources include virtual field trips, career profile videos, and opportunities for personalized interactions with industry professionals.

Discovery Education's Career Connect allows educators to request virtual classroom visits from industry professionals. This year, the platform offers a range of resources tailored to manufacturing. A new virtual field trip, 'Forging Innovation: A Mission Possible', explores the world of steel and its use in architecture and structural engineering, premiering on October 9, 2025. Another trip, 'Careers at Sea and Shore: A Virtual Field Trip to Maritime Manufacturing Centers', showcases the marine industry and premieres on October 29, 2025.

Discovery Education has also updated career profile videos and resources featuring professionals from various industries, including advanced manufacturing. Students can even meet with a flour production manager to understand the manufacturing of staple crops through a resource created in partnership with Cooperative Minds. These resources align with a 2025-2026 Education Insights report that highlights the importance of connecting the classroom to the wider world for deeper student engagement in learning.

Discovery Education Experience offers all these resources and more for educators to use in their classrooms. By working with corporate partners, Discovery Education provides resources for schools nationwide on Manufacturing Day. This year's offerings aim to inspire the next generation of innovators in manufacturing industries.
