The DOA's innovative plan includes Thai Lion Air, whose feathers already flutter in the wind of this bold initiative. "With our tantalizing New Route-New Airline scheme, we're luring airlines to pilot their flights to regional DOA-governed airports, thus presenting travelers with an abundance of choices and opportunities," beamed Manaporn.

"What's more, this scheme propels fierce competitions among airlines in terms of fares and service quality. And let's not forget to mention that it slashes the grip of monopolies on specific routes!"

Danai Ruengson, DOA's beaming director-general, spilled further details, "To entice carriers to tread this uncharted path, we've issued a decree lowering aircraft landing and parking fees by half on these newly-minted routes for a year. When we say 'new,' we mean entirely fresh routes that have never operated from the point of origin or destination airports before, or routes that have been out of commission for at least a full year."

"By way of welcoming prize-winning entrants to uncharted airports, we're pleased to provide a 50% fee reduction on landings and parking for three whole months. Those bravely setting sail for pastures new—whether you're a novice in the scene or a sailor who's weathered a long dry spell—are encouraged to send in your formal applications to join this exhilarating voyage!"
