A Fresh Spin on ATM 2025: Dubai's Travel Extravaganza

Last month's Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 in Dubai didn't disappoint, breaking attendance records and solidifying its place as the world's premier travel and tourism event. With over 55,000 industry whizzes attending from across 166 countries, the event swelled by a staggering 16% compared to the previous year.

Run from April 28 to May 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, ATM 2025 welcomed 2,800 exhibitors, nearly eight in ten of whom hailed from international markets. The event was organized by the influential RX Global and had a clear theme for this year: "Global Travel: Forging Tomorrow's Tourism Through Amplified Connectivity." The focus was all about fostering global collaboration and envisioning the future of travel.

The grand opening was graced by the presence of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and other high-profile UAE leaders like H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum dropped by to catch some highlights of the 2025 edition.

Asia showed a strong interest in travel, with a 20% year-on-year boost in participation, while Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and other regions also registered substantial gains - with Africa up 21%, the Middle East 19%, and Europe 17%. Key international attendees included but weren't limited to India, Türkiye, the UK, and Egypt.

Technology and innovation were the talk of the town, with a 26% boost in ATM Travel Tech and the debut of an impressive Start-Up and Innovation Zone. The hotel sector made its presence felt as well, expanding by 12%, representing major international chains.

The conference schedule brimmed with over 70 sessions, boasting more than 200 expert speakers. A new Business Events Stage was also introduced as part of the IBTM@ATM zone, reflecting the growing relevance of business tourism in the global travel ecosystem.
