Festival in Paežeriai Transformed with Fresh Perspective

The picturesque town of Paežeriai in Lithuania recently played host to the captivating Rose Festival, an international floral event that showcased top-level floral design projects. This was the second such event for the speaker, the first being Florart 2019 at Raudondvaris Castle.

The festival took place at the historic Paežeriai Manor, a 200-year-old building constructed between 1795-1799. The event attracted crowds from all over Lithuania, with people taking photos and admiring the floral installations that reached lengths of up to 5 meters.

The Rose Festival featured designs from an international team of artists, including Ania Norwood, Beata Kaas, Iwona Kwiatek, Regine Motmans, and the speaker. Each artist brought their unique vision to the festival, creating a diverse and stunning display of floral artistry.

Ania Norwood's design, titled "Celestial World", was a celestial-themed installation that captured the imagination. Beata Kaas' design, titled "LUNULA: A Marker of Change and Renewal", was inspired by the cycle of life, representing birth, life, and death. The speaker's project, titled "Trijų Gyvybių" (meaning "Three Lives" in Lithuanian), was inspired by Baltic symbolism and celebrated continuity, legacy, and the unseen threads connecting past, present, and future. It featured Porta Nova Red Naomi Roses.

Iwona Kwiatek's design for the festival was titled "The String of Beauty". Regine Motmans, a Floral Connector from Belgium, created a floral masterpiece using only roses.

The festival was also a family affair for the speaker, as their daughter, Marija, modeled for the floral wearable designs demonstration during the floral fashion show. Marija has modeled abroad in several places, including South Korea and Japan.

Beata Kaas shared that she learned about the historical significance and museum of the Manor Paežeriai during the festival. The photos of the Rose Festival were taken by Milda Dubauskienė and Dainius Čėpla.

The flowers used in the festival were sent from the Netherlands by Astra Fund Holland BV, The Floral Industry Hub, and delivered with the help of Lithuanian company Mirata. The festival took place in a park covering an area of 12 hectares, with a beautiful lake called Paežeriai lake adding to the picturesque setting.

The Rose Festival in Paežeriai is quickly gaining international recognition, making it a must-visit event for floral enthusiasts and art lovers alike.
