Fürth District Unveils 'Consistent. Challenging.' 179.7M Euro 2024 Budget
The district of Fürth has revealed its budget for 2024, themed 'Consistent. Challenging.', with a total volume of approximately 179.7 million euros. The budget presentation occurred on December 11, 2023, led by the new district administrator, Bernd Obst.
The district experienced an above-average increase in its tax base by 6.9 percent, resulting in an additional 2.5 million euros payment to the district of Middle Franconia. To balance the budget, the district surcharge was raised by 5.0 percentage points to 46.5 percent.
Key allocations from the Free State of Bavaria are projected to rise by 0.65 million euros to around 24.6 million euros compared to 2023. The district aims to secure its future viability and enhance the quality of life of its citizens by planning loans for the coming years. The construction project to expand the district office in Zirndorf continues, with 4.5 million euros allocated for 2024.
Budget discussions are scheduled for January 26, 2024, and the adoption is set for February 5, 2024. The energy renovation of the Stein Gymnasium was completed at a total cost of 19.5 million euros.
