Gear up for a lively fall season in Janesville as several exciting events are planned ahead!
Labor Day weekend is approaching, and the cities of Janesville and Edgerton have some exciting events and openings lined up for residents and visitors alike.
Christine Rebout from the Janesville Visitors and Convention Bureau has shared details about these upcoming happenings.
Firstly, downtown Edgerton will be the centre of chili and country music from September 5 to 6. On the 5th, popular country singer Lauren Aliana will perform at the Country Edge Concert. The following day, the Wisconsin State Championship Cook-Off will take place, with more details about both events to be found online.
In downtown Janesville, Art Infusion will be held from the 5th to the 7th of September. This year's theme is "Let Words Take Flight," and more information can be found online.
On a different note, the Woodman's Center will open its doors in Janesville on September 19. An official ribbon cutting ceremony will take place, followed by free activities, family fun, tours, and other surprises. The opening will be presented by Mayor John Smith.
The Janesville Jets, a Junior A hockey team in the NAHL North Division, will play on the Saturday following the Woodman's Center grand opening. The puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
