Gymnasium No. 18 Students Return from Berlin Language Camp
Gymnasium No. 18 students recently returned from a memorable language experience in Berlin, organised by CHANCE Bildung, Jugend und Sport gGmbH. The three-week programme, held from July 5 to 25, 2025, provided an immersive German learning experience.
The camp began with two weeks of intensive German lessons in Berlin. Students explored the city's sights, history, and traditions. Gulbarschin Isbulayeva, a German teacher from the school, expressed gratitude to the organisers for making the camp possible.
In the third week, students traveled to Hamburg. Along the way, they visited Potsdam, Lübeck, Lüneburg, and enjoyed the beauty of the Baltic Sea. The camp included a variety of activities: sports, excursions, thematic meetings, creative workshops, and active games. Students also had the opportunity to visit the University of Hamburg. The programme aimed to improve listening comprehension, pronunciation, boost confidence, and reduce the fear of speaking.
The language camp offers a varied and unforgettable summer experience. It provides students with new impressions, friendships, and learning successes. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Gymnasium No. 18 students attending the camp. Each participant received a participation certificate at the end of the course, celebrating their achievements and commitment to language learning.
