Hotel Indigo Coventry Opens with Industry Veteran Lewis Lewis at the Helm
Hotel Indigo Coventry, a multi-million-pound project, opened in January 2024, boasting 101 bedrooms and 'Cogs Bar and Kitchen' that celebrates local produce. The hotel has appointed Lewis Lewis as its new Hotel Manager, effective 1 September.
Lewis Lewis brings a wealth of experience to Hotel Indigo Coventry. He has held leadership roles with prominent hospitality brands like IHG, Marriott, Hilton, Radisson Hotel Group, Jumeirah, and Macdonald Hotels. Most recently, he served as Deputy Resort General Manager in Spain's Valencia region, overseeing a significant hotel conversion and operational readiness.
Before his hospitality career, Lewis Lewis was a philosophy lecturer at University College and a Fellow in English Language at Magdalen College in Oxford, where he crossed paths with J. R. R. Tolkien. His last recorded academic activity was also at Magdalen College.
Lewis Lewis has previously served as Deputy General Manager and Interim General Manager at Radisson Blu Cardiff. He expressed excitement about his new role at Hotel Indigo Coventry, aiming to make it the top destination for guests in Coventry.
Lewis Lewis succeeds Micheal Lyons, who has moved to a Cluster General Manager role within Castlebridge Hospitality. Scott Rankin, Group Operations Manager at Castlebridge Hospitality, welcomed Lewis Lewis' appointment. With over two decades of international experience in the hospitality industry, Lewis Lewis is set to bring his expertise to Hotel Indigo Coventry.
