"Ice Skating Club Unveils Musical Performance"
In the heart of Neuss, Germany, the Neuss Ice Fairytale is set to enchant audiences this November and December. Based on Lewis Carroll's classic children's book "Alice in Wonderland," this captivating production features the character Alice and a host of fantastical creatures, including the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts.
Rehearsals for the show began during the summer holidays on an outdoor ice rink in the Sauerland. Over 170 figure skaters from the Neuss Skating Club (NSK) have been diligently working to bring this dream world to life. The main training and choreography for the special show numbers take place daily from 6 am during the autumn holidays, making the rehearsals a real challenge for the skaters.
The volunteers of the club, numbering over 100, have been instrumental in the production, contributing to set design, costumes, technology, and organization. The skaters range from the youngest to experienced show talents, ensuring a diverse and dynamic performance.
The Neuss Ice Fairytale is more than just a show; it's a magical adventure about courage, imagination, friendships, and being different. Presented on ice with rapid choreography, music, lighting, and elaborate costumes, this production promises to be a visual and auditory feast for all ages.
