Health Canada Issues Recall for Eleven Brand Baby Nests

Health Canada has issued a recall for the BChic and Chicure model baby nests sold under the 'eleven' brand by CHIC BABY. These recalled products are soft, fabric-lined cushions with raised sides, and are available in various printed fabrics.

The recall comes as these baby nests pose fall, strangulation, and entrapment hazards, contravening Health Canada's safe sleep recommendations. The agency recommends that infants should sleep on their back, on a firm, flat surface intended for sleep, without any soft bedding or padding.

Parents and caregivers are urged to stop using these recalled baby nests immediately and dispose of them safely to prevent reuse. As of July 18, 2025, CHIC BABY has not received any reports of injuries or incidents related to the use of these products in Canada.

The Chicure model, in particular, folds into a portable handbag with a handle, making it easy to transport. Each nest has a tag with the brand name "eleven." A total of 3,007 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between February 2020 and July 2025.

Health Canada encourages consumers to report any health or safety incidents involving this or other consumer products by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form. More information is available in Health Canada's safe sleep guidelines for infants.

For more information, consumers can contact CHIC BABY via email at [email protected] or visit their website. Health Canada is reminding parents and caregivers that the safest place for a baby to sleep is on their back, on a firm, flat surface intended for sleep.

In summary, the safe sleep guidelines by Health Canada stress that babies should sleep alone, on their back, on a firm, flat surface free from soft bedding or accessories like the recalled baby nests, to reduce risks of sudden infant death syndrome and sleep-related injuries.
