Pittsburgh Airport Introduces New Measures to Address Flight Delays and Cancellations
Pittsburgh International Airport Launches 'We Got You' Program for Enhanced Passenger Assistance
Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) has unveiled a new initiative called 'We Got You,' designed to provide prompt assistance for passengers in various situations. This program aims to address common travel disruptions such as lost luggage and last-minute gate changes.
At the heart of the program are tailored services categorised by passenger type, ensuring a personalised experience for all. The 'We Got You' program equips airport staff and volunteers with Passenger Information Technology for real-time problem-solving. This technology includes a built-in language translation tool for multi-lingual assistance, making travel easier for passengers from diverse backgrounds.
The program also provides interdepartmental contact lists for quicker resolutions, ensuring that issues are addressed efficiently. FlightAware integration is part of the technology for real-time flight tracking, providing up-to-date information to passengers and staff alike.
In addition, the 'We Got You' program offers access to hotel, shuttle, and transportation information, making travel arrangements smoother for passengers. It also includes a terminal map with real-time updates for efficient guidance, ensuring that passengers never feel lost or confused within the airport.
Key persons involved in the 'We Got You' initiative include Elise Gomez, the Customer Experience manager and one of the airport’s Operational Readiness and Transition (ORAT) Champions. She leads groups of Ambassadors and staff through the new terminal to prepare them for the program. The initiative also involves the Customer Experience team, which includes information desk and lost-and-found staff, roaming Customer Care Agents, and 120 volunteer Ambassadors who help travelers navigate the airport.
The 'We Got You' program is operational within the United States, ensuring that passengers within the country can benefit from this enhanced level of assistance. The program is set to revolutionise the travel experience at Pittsburgh International Airport, making travel smoother and more enjoyable for all.
