Recap of Blade Show Atlanta 2025: A Glimpse into the World of Emphasized Edged Tools
LET'S GO, RECAP TIME!
First, a word about travel. Airports are a drain, let me tell ya. Add some Atlanta madness to the mix and it's a recipe for exhaustion. But the sight of familiar knifie faces at the Cobb Galleria quickly erased that weariness.
Day 1: Early risers lined up outside, ready to snatch up limited edition and show special knives from their favorite makers. Inside, vendors scrambled to set up their booths while Alicia Newton ensured the show went off without a hitch. The moment the doors opened, the rush was on!
Nick hosted a class with jungle guide and knife designer Joe Flowers, diving into the creation of the TOPS Knives Brakimo. A young 10-year-old even won himself a Brakimo, as well as some knife-making advice!
The day ended with a walk around the show floor, taking in as many knives as possible. The Pit provided a place to unwind and connect with friends and associates at the show.
Day 2 started with a class led by Nick, teaching knife buyers about various knife design features and materials. Afterward, Nick checked out even more knives and picked up some new goodies to test and review. The award ceremony and hangout time wrapped up the show.
Now, let's get down to the specs on some of Nick's favorite knives from the show:
- Knives by Nuge Sharky Wicket and Captain's Edition XL: Masterfully handcrafted outdoor and sportsman knives.
- Auxiliary Manufacturing Captain's Bowie: A collaboration between Rikki Hernandez and Auxiliary Manufacturing featuring a harpoon-style point and desert iron wood handles.
