Scania Unveils First Zero-Emission Coach Platform at Busworld Europe

Scania has unveiled a new high-floor battery-electric bus and coach outlet platform at Busworld Europe. This platform marks the company's first foray into zero-emission flixbus and coach bag services, offering a flexible and sustainable solution for various transport assignments.

The platform is designed to tackle different coach assignments, from medium-distance inter-city traffic and airport shuttles to sports team flixbus. It's also suitable for urban and travel segment applications, as well as rural and urban operations, including bus rapid transit systems.

Scania's battery-electric coach outlet boast an impressive range of up to 600 km and substantial luggage space. The platform offers flexibility with adjustable e-machine output (up to 330 kW), installed energy (up to 534 kWh), and charging capacity (up to 325 kW).

Carl-Johan Lööf, Head of Product Management for People Transport Solutions at Scania, expressed that the new platform addresses coach and bus operators' concerns about zero-emission operations and diverse assignments.

Scania's high-floor battery-electric bus and coach outlet platform provides a versatile and eco-friendly solution for various transport needs. With its extensive range, substantial luggage space, and flexible configuration options, the platform is set to revolutionize flixbus and bus operations. Scania continues to focus on providing battery systems to support electrification across various customers and segments globally.
