Shanghai Introduces Largest Legoland globally, China's First
In a grand celebration, the much-anticipated Legoland Shanghai Resort officially opened its gates on the 5th of July, 2025. This family-friendly destination, located in Fengjing Town, Jinshan District, Shanghai, is set to inject new vitality into the local tourism market and attract a multitude of domestic and international tourists.
Spanning an expansive 318,000 square meters, the resort offers a theme park, a hotel, and is divided into eight 'lands', each offering a unique and immersive experience. The resort houses thousands of LEGO models built with over 85 million LEGO bricks, making it a haven for Lego fans and children aged 2-12 and their families.
## Unique Attractions
One of the standout attractions is the Lego Coaster, a new suspended, inverted family coaster that is one of the first of its kind in a Legoland park. It centers around a giant Minifigure and offers a thrilling ride experience, while providing breathtaking views of the park.
Another exciting attraction yet to open is Journey to Flower Fruit Mountain, a shoot-the-chute ride that combines dark ride and boat ride elements, centered around the Monkie Kid story.
Visitors can also embark on the Legoland Boat Tour, an exclusive ride that allows them to explore the park from a boat's perspective, passing through different themed lands like Lego Friends, Bricktopia, and Monkie Kid.
Legoland Shanghai also boasts Lego Ninjago World, a themed land offering immersive experiences based on the popular Lego Ninjago series.
A highlight not to be missed is Miniland, featuring a miniature representation of Shanghai's cityscape, showcasing iconic landmarks in Lego form.

The world's largest Legoland Hotel provides themed accommodations that complement the park experience, while the world's first Legoland-themed aircraft, in partnership with Juneyao Air, adds to the resort's overall brand experience.
