Sranan Gold Reports High-Grade Gold Results at Poeketi Target
Sranan Gold Corp. (CSE: SRAN) has revealed impressive high-grade gold results from its Poeketi target at the Tapanahony Project in Suriname. The company, engaged in mineral exploration and acquisition of mineral property assets in Suriname and Canada, has reported significant findings that could reshape its future exploration plans.
Dr. Dennis LaPoint, Executive Vice President of Exploration and Corporate Development, highlighted the significance of the results. Grab samples from the Poeketi target yielded remarkable gold grades, including 26.7 grams per tonne (gt) and 25.8 gt. These high-grade results further extend the Poeketi-Randy's Pit gold trend, which now spans over 4.5 kilometres and remains open in both directions.
The Poeketi target itself has been extended to approximately 1,000 metres in strike length. This expansion comes as Sranan continues to drill just north of Randy's Pit, following the resolution of mechanical issues with the diamond core rig. The company's flagship project, the Tapanahony Project, covers a vast area of 29,000 hectares in Suriname, while it also owns the Aida Property in the Kamloops Mining Division, British Columbia, Canada.
