SWISS Unveils Major Service Enhancements and Fleet Expansion

SWISS is set to introduce several enhancements and expansions to its services and fleet. Starting in 2015, the airline will introduce a new point-to-point system alongside its traditional hub concept. Additionally, SWISS will expand its offerings from and to Geneva, with new destinations and improved onboard experiences.

From 2015, SWISS will offer a new point-to-point system, providing more direct flight options for passengers. This change will complement the airline's existing hub concept. In the same year, SWISS will boost its Geneva services with 16 weekly Geneva-Lugano flights.

SWISS is also focusing on enhancing its Economy class food service. Starting in 2015, passengers can enjoy fresh, daily, and locally sourced Swiss produce.

To accommodate more passengers, SWISS will introduce new seats on its Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. These seats will increase capacity by 12 on the A320 and 19 on the A321, while also offering more legroom.

In 2016, SWISS will welcome an Airbus A321ceo to its fleet. The same year, the airline will begin replacing its Avro RJ100 fleet with 30 new Bombardier CS100s. Additionally, SWISS will add 19 new destinations to its Zurich-based European network, with 15 being year-round and 4 seasonal.

Between 2019 and 2022, SWISS plans to further expand its fleet. This includes ten Airbus A320neos, five Airbus A321neos, and six Boeing 777-300ERs.

SWISS's enhancements and expansions include a new point-to-point system, increased Geneva services, improved Economy class food, and new seats with more legroom. The airline's fleet will also grow with the addition of new aircraft, including the Airbus A321ceo, 30 Bombardier CS100s, and numerous new destinations. These changes reflect SWISS's commitment to improving passenger experiences and expanding its network.
